Install the Knob16 Remote Script to control Ableton Live from your iPhone or iPad. Read the setup steps, then download the file below.

Set it up once.

Read the steps for your computer, then grab the script below.

Unzip the download.
You’ll get a Remote Scripts folder with Knob16 inside.

Find your User Library.
In Live's Browser, right-click User Library and choose Show in Finder (macOS) or Show in Explorer (Windows).

Copy the script.
Quit Live, then copy the Remote Scripts folder into your User Library. The result should be User Library/Remote Scripts/Knob16/.

Select Knob16 in Live.
Start Live. In Settings › Link, Tempo & MIDI, set Control Surface to Knob16 and Input/Output to your iPhone or iPad.

Enable MIDI ports.
Turn on Track and Remote for the device, plus MPE for its input.

Check the connection.
Open Knob16. The MIDI indicator turns blue and reads LIVE.

UPDATING? Delete the old Knob16 folder first. Troubleshooting is in README.txt inside the download.
